My 2010 Birthday with Dear Princess!

Wow! What a birthday I had this year, surprises planned and feel pampered, thanks to my dear princess!

First of all, I have got my birthday present even before Christmas! haha! Initially, she was trying to look for the Everlast shoes which we saw in JB but can’t find that particular design in a few of Everlast outlets of Singapore. So, she turned to the alternative, a bag. She has consulted with a few of our friends on what brand she should be getting and in the end ended up Timberland! Then, she brought me to the shop and asked me whether I like the bag. Yea, no surprise here but it’s expensive and she doesn’t want to risk it. I do really like the design of the bag and the durability of it but it’s expensive. After a couple of minutes of struggling, we took the bag. Yea, I knew that I had no other things that I needed except for a bag and that’s the only brand with suitable design for me as far as we could find. Thank you so much for the present dear! And sorry that it hurts your purse a lot… haha. And on the Christmas day itself I was allowed to use the bag, proudly enough!

I didn’t expect much for my birthday eve surprise actually, maybe just a cake to be cut when clock strikes 12. So when I went back from work, I check through the fridge, no cake, haha, I was just thinking too much and didn’t expect much from then. Then dear princess was actually working on a MV using the song “1,2,3,4″, a great song to be dedicated for your loved ones! She intended to make this a surprise but failed just because her lappie always overheated and blackout before it’s saved. So, it was completed with my presence, poor baby, wasted one of her surprises. Nevertheless, this is the sweetest video that she has made for me so far! Like it a lot! Thanks again dear! After that, 5 minutes before the clock strikes 12, she asked me to refill the water jug, so I went. When I came in, a string of characters spelling out “Happy ♥ Birthday” was hanging across the room, the First Surprise, I was really surprised! Then another came, a nice handmade birthday card by my dear which it is now displaying at my office’s desk, haha, appreciate it a lot! Really! Although you can’t actually tell it from my face. Actually, I noticed the sticky tape on the wall which was for the string of characters but just didn’t relate to the surprise, and nearly find out about the card when I was looking for my Christmas card made by my dear. Haha, almost destroy some of the surprises.

Happy Birthday!

On my birthday, as usual, I went to work. Before noon, dear told me that she just wake up and reading her fyp journals. Yea, we have planned for my birthday dinner so I didn’t expect anything will happen before the dinner. Reaching lunchtime, my colleague, ChinChia suggested to go Aston at City Square Mall. We had our lunch and when we were about to go, suddenly someone sat beside me and then I was surprised again, it was my dear princess! With my birthday cake as well! I thought she should be still in the room reading journals or having lunch. Surprise surprise! The cake was the fruit tart from Fruit Paradise, our favourite! They sang birthday song and we ate the cake, the feeling at the time was indescribable! It has taken her a great effort to prepare this surprise, thanks a lot dear! Later, it was found out that she had liaised with ChinChia for this surprise, haha!

At night, we went to a nice restaurant with live band, namely Timbre! First time for us to be there! Their thin crust pizza was the best! Their live band was not bad as well, we could actually dedicate messages and songs for anyone via sms, but of course subjected to whether the band knows how to play the song. We could tell that Timbre was one of the few famous ones because it was Tuesday, not any public holiday, it was more than 70% reserved, long queue waiting to be seated despite of it’s inconvenient location. My dear princess actually tried to make the band to play the “Club can’t handle me (Indian version)” which of course, they didn’t, haha! The night was just perfect, thanks to my dear’s great choice!

Tour Montparnasse

Its simple architecture, gigantic proportions and monolithic appearance have been often criticised for being out of place in Paris’s urban landscape and, as a result, two years after its completion, the construction of skyscrapers in the city centre was banned.

It is sometimes said, only half-jokingly, that the view from the top is the most beautiful in Paris, since it is the only place from which one cannot see the tower.[2] Interestingly, this is the same claim made by Guy de Maupassant who loathed the Eiffel Tower and ate lunch there daily.

-Wikipedia

We didn’t get up to the top of the tower because it seems that the ticket’s price is the double of Eiffel’s, expensive….

Disneyland Paris

I guess there might be a few of you who didn’t realise that there’s actually a Disneyland in Paris?

I’ve been there before when I was in Paris, but I just went to the Disneyland Village which the admission fee wasn’t required instead of the Disneyland Themepark. However, there are still a lot of souvenir shops and stuffs to see in Disneyland Village.
